Dona Kiriella, a Sri Lankan-born painter, and printmaker, embarked on a fascinating artistic journey that traversed continents and cultures, perfectly blending her rich Asian heritage with the influences of her new home in New York. Born and raised in Sri Lanka, Kiriella’ s artistic flair was evident early on. She seriously pursued her passion for art at the University of Visual & Performing Arts in Colombo. She graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor’s in sculpture and painting and a Master of philosophy in History of Art.
